SUMMARY:Opportunity Center Open House
DESCRIPTION:ADVOCAP is proud to extend an invitation for our community to visit our newly-opened Opportunity Center. The Opportunity Center is an innovative\, safe space for low-income people in Fond du Lac to get the individualized support they need on their path to self-sufficiency. \nThrough a comprehensive intake process\, ADVOCAP staff assess an individual’s needs and connect them with relevant organizations and resources. Since opening in mid-November\, the Opportunity Center has provided tailored assistance to over 100 individuals in our city and is actively working to foster pathways out of poverty\, one person at a time. \nJoin ADVOCAP staff\, local community members\, and other supporters who are committed to the health of our community and fostering long-term solutions to poverty. \nVisitors are welcome to join us at any time between 4:30 and 6:00 PM to tour the Opportunity Center at their own pace. Please RSVP on Eventbrite here. \nADVOCAP encourages visitors to please bring an item from the Opportunity Center needs list as a donation at the Open House. These items include: \n\nProtein bars\nGranola bars\nBreakfast drinks\nBreakfast bars\nProtein packs – any sorts\nTrail mix\nSingle peanut butter pouches\nBeef jerky\nTuna pouches\nProtein shakes\n\nADVOCAP is grateful for the support we’ve seen for the Opportunity Center. We look forward to connecting with you on January 28. \nParking details: All street and surface lot parking around ADVOCAP is metered. There is metered parking on W 1st St.\, S Macy Street\, and in the lot across from the ADVOCAP main entrance\, at 17 W 2nd St. On-street and public lots have free parking every day after 5:00 PM.
